Armenian

The Armenian language is an Indo-European language spoken by the Armenian people. The language is also widely spoken by Armenian communities in the Armenian diaspora. Armenian is spoken in Armenia, Turkey and Iran (Middle East).

The Bible was first translated into Armenian in the year 411 A.D. Two translations of the Armenian bible are in common use today. Within Armenia, the Eastern Armenian version is the primary translation used. Armenian diasporas around the world use both the Western Armenian and the Eastern Armenian versions.
