Overview

Zorro! is a 1975 spaghetti Western film directed by Duccio Tessari, featuring the iconic character Zorro, originally created by Johnston McCulley. Starring the renowned French actor Alain Delon as Zorro, the film presents a unique interpretation of the legendary outlaw's story, blending action and political intrigue.

Set in Cartagena during the early 19th century, the film follows Diego de la Vega (Delon), a wealthy plantation owner's son who returns to his homeland after traveling the world and honing his swordsmanship. Upon his return, Diego finds his peaceful home plagued by chaos and violence, largely due to corrupt officials and bandits working for the English. He encounters his old friend Miguel de la Serna (Marino Masé), who is about to become the new governor of Nueva Aragón.

As Miguel expresses his idealistic views on governance, he is soon assassinated by Colonel Huerta's henchmen. Before his death, Miguel entrusts Diego with his governor's ring, compelling him to promise he will rule with justice and never kill in Miguel's name. Embracing the mantle of Zorro, Diego dons a black mask and cape to protect the oppressed and bring order back to his homeland.

A film főszereplője a híres francia színész Alain Delon, aki Zorro szerepében mutatja be a legendás bűnöző történetét, akciót és politikai intrikát ötvözve.

A történet a 19. század elején, Cartagenában játszódik, és követi Diego de la Vega-t (Delon), egy gazdag ültetvényes fiát, aki a világot bejárva és a kardforgatást elsajátítva tér vissza hazájába.
