Havoc in Heaven, also known internationally as Uproar in Heaven, is a 1961 Chinese animated feature film directed by Wan Laiming and produced by all four Wan brothers. Created during the golden age of Chinese animation in the 1960s, the film has won numerous awards and earned the creators international acclaim. The story is an adaptation of the early chapters of the 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West, featuring Sun Wukong's rebellion against the heavens.

剧情简介 / Plot Summary

正值王母娘娘寿辰，七仙女前来摘桃，孙悟空得知王母设蟠桃宴，但未邀请他。他大闹蟠桃宴，随后误闯太上老君的兜率宫，将金丹吃个精光。玉帝命李天王带领十万天兵天将征讨孙悟空，一场激战开始了。孙悟空与二郎神斗得难分胜负，但最终被太上老君暗算擒获。玉帝命将孙悟空投入炼丹炉焚烧，然而孙悟空没有被烧死，反而跳出炼丹炉，再次大闹灵霄宝殿。

On the birthday of the Queen Mother of Heaven, the Seven Fairies arrive to pick peaches, and Sun Wukong overhears that a grand banquet is being held, but he is not invited. Enraged, Sun Wukong crashes the Peach Banquet. On his way back to the Flower Fruit Mountain, he stumbles into the palace of Laozi and consumes the Emperor's elixirs. The Jade Emperor orders Li Tianwang and 100,000 heavenly soldiers to capture Sun Wukong, resulting in fierce battles. Sun Wukong fights evenly with Erlang Shen, but he is ultimately captured through Laozi's trickery. The Jade Emperor orders him to be burned in the alchemy furnace, but Sun Wukong survives and leaps out, launching another rebellion against Heaven.
