This play is adapted from the Erhu solo Moon Reflected on Er-quan Spring by Mr. Hua Yanjun. This play is about the tragic love story between a Chinese folk artist called Brother Quan, and an old violinist's daughter called Yue'er: Brother Quan ardently falls love with Yue'er but is supplanted by the vicious Gu family, Yue'er sinks into the bottom of the lake, bereft of love, Brother Quan is so desperate that he blind his eyes...
