Rather than concentrate purely on the live performances, the film features a number of backstage interviews, including a number with Mick Jagger, lead singer with the Rolling Stones who was ther as a more than interested observer. The key interviews are those featuring Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis, both of whom felt they were the main reason why rock and roll music had held its popularity over the decades.
