Overview:

Spartacus, directed by Stanley Kubrick, is a sweeping epic based on the true story of the gladiator slave who led a rebellion against the might of ancient Rome. The film follows Spartacus (Kirk Douglas), a man of strength and courage, and his journey to freedom, fueled by his love for the woman Varinia (Jean Simmons), and his hatred for the oppressive system that enslaves him.

As the conflict grows, Spartacus faces not only the power of the Roman Empire but also the internal struggles of leadership, loyalty, and personal sacrifice. His battle against the ruthless General Crassus (Laurence Olivier) and his fight for freedom become legendary. With powerful performances from Tony Curtis, Peter Ustinov, and Charles Laughton, Spartacus is a timeless tale of the fight for liberty.

This fully restored edition includes an additional five minutes of previously cut footage, providing a more complete viewing experience. The original overture and extended soundtrack also enhance the cinematic experience, making this version an essential for fans of classic cinema.
