Tragedy strikes when Yorimune is attacked by former soldiers of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, resulting in the deaths of Mayeda's wife and son. This propels Mayeda and Yorimune on a quest to Spain to acquire modern firearms, accompanied by Father Vasco, who has his own agenda.
