Salvatore Licitra (born August 10, 1968 in Bern , Switzerland ; † September 5, 2011 in Catania , Italy ) was an Italian tenor . Many music lovers already saw him as a kind of “successor” to the Italian star tenor Luciano Pavarotti , who died in 2007 .
