The Red Bull Air Race is a competition in a relatively new aviation discipline: air racing. A high-performance motor sport. The Air Race requires the pilot to fly through a course marked with inflatable air gates. In compliance with certain rules - in order not to collect penalties - and in the fight against time and the competition. Precision, ability, mental concentration and physical resilience are prerequisites. Reason: Speeds up to 400 km/h and gravitational forces around 10G. In 2005, the Red Bull Air Race World Series started for the first time. The final position on the respective race weekend is decisive. The Air Racer who has the most points at the end of the season - i.e. after 12 tough KO eliminations - is the official Red Bull Air Race World Champion.
