Overview

"Plots with a View," also known as Undertaking Betty, is a 2002 comedy film directed by Nick Hurran. Set in the fictional Welsh village of Wrottin Powys, the story revolves around Boris Plots, the director of Plots Funeral Home. Boris faces competition from his rival, Frank Featherbed, an American who aims to revolutionize the funeral business in Britain with his concept of "themed funerals."

As a young boy, Boris dreamed of two things: dancing and his childhood sweetheart, Betty Rhys-Jones. Although Betty secretly loved Boris, she succumbed to her father's wishes and married a gold digger. Resigning to his fate, Boris took over the family business.

When Betty's mother-in-law passes away, she and Boris find themselves reunited while making funeral arrangements. Their chemistry reignites, but Boris soon realizes the only thing standing in their way is Betty's marriage to the unfaithful Councilor Hugh Rhys-Jones. In a desperate attempt to find happiness, Boris and Betty hatch a plan to stage her death and escape together.
