English Summary:

Scandal in Sorrento or Pane, amore e... (1955) is an Italian comedy film directed by Dino Risi. This is the third film of the trilogy, formed by Bread, Love and Dreams in 1953, Bread, Love and Jealousy in 1954. Innovations include the use of color rather than black and white, as well the location of Sorrento instead of the small village of the previous films of the series. At the 6th Berlin International Film Festival it won the Honorable Mention (Best Humorous Film) award.

Italian Summary:

Il cavalier Antonio Carotenuto se ne va da Sagliena poiché viene convocato a Sorrento per dirigere la locale stazione dei vigili urbani. Il maresciallo sarà ospitato in casa della bigotta donna Violante e sedotto dalla pescivendola Donna Sofia, che ha già un innamorato chiamato Nicolino: Sofia mira soltanto all'appartamento del comandante di cui è inquilina. A sorvegliare sulla condotta morale di Carotenuto provvedono la domestica Caramella e il fratello prete Matteo. Nonostante l'avventura amorosa con Donna Sofia si concluda male per l'ex maresciallo, egli avrà modo di fidanzarsi con donna Violante, la quale, grazie all'aiuto di Caramella, riuscirà ad attirare a sé le attenzioni del comandante Carotenuto.

Hungarian Summary:

Ismét színre lép a heves vérű szívrabló, Carotenuto csendőrparancsnok. A történet ezúttal a mesés szépségű Sorrentóban játszódik. A csendőrparancsnok új beosztást kapott, szülőföldjére helyezik át. Útban hazafelé megismerkedik a bájos özveggyel, Donna Sophiával. Az örök Don Juan pillanatok alatt lángot fog. Az özvegy sem marad közömbös, ugyanis új lakásának megtartása érdekében minden trükköt be kell vetnie, hogy meghódítsa a parancsnokot. A lakásügy körüli bonyodalmak azonban szívügyi bonyodalmakhoz vezetnek. A kisvárosban megindul a pletyka, ami szerfelett rosszul esik Sophia jegyesének, Nicolinónak.
