One Night with the King is a historical epic film that was released in 2006 in the United States. Based on the novel Hadassah: One Night with the King by Tommy Tenney and Mark Andrew Olsen and the novel "Esther" by Nathaniel Weinreb (not credited, but the movie closely follows Weinreb’s book in plot, including direct quotes and events in the novel)^{[citation needed]}, One Night with the King is a dramatization of the Biblical story of Esther, who risked her life by approaching the King of Persia to request that he save the Jewish people.

The movie was produced by Matt Crouch and Laurie Crouch of Gener8Xion Entertainment. It was ninth on the list of highest-grossing motion pictures during the week it was released. This film received a 2007 CAMIE Award,^[1] as Luke Goss did for his portrayal of King Xerxes.

Saul új területeket hódít meg, ám Sámuel próféta parancsa ellenére megkíméli az elfogott király életét. Sámuel megöli a királyt, ám áldott állapotban lévő feleségének sikerül elszöknie. Később a gyermeke, Haman bosszút akar állni a Perzsiában élő zsidókon. Számítását azonban keresztülhúzza Hadassah, a fiatal zsidó lány.
