Overview

Nuremberg is a 2000 Canadian-American television docudrama in 2 parts, based on the book Nuremberg: Infamy on Trial by Joseph E. Persico, that tells the story of the Nuremberg trials. Actual footage of camps, taken from the documentary Nazi Concentration and Prison Camps (1945), was included in this miniseries.

Nuremberg: Im Namen der Menschlichkeit is an Emmy Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated historical drama that recounts the events surrounding the Nuremberg Trials—one of the most significant legal proceedings in history. The film portrays the aftermath of World War II, when US Judge Robert Jackson (played by Alec Baldwin) and his team of prosecutors bring the Nazi war criminals to justice in the historic trials held in the devastated city of Nuremberg.

Featuring a stellar cast, including Max von SydowChristopher Plummer, and Jill Hennessy, the film powerfully illustrates the moral and legal challenges faced in prosecuting the key figures responsible for crimes against humanity. The movie combines real footage from the 1945-46 trials with dramatized scenes to reconstruct this pivotal moment in history, bringing to life the intense courtroom confrontations and the fates of the accused.
