The 38 year old French Nicolas Krassik studied violin, classical and jazz in Paris. He was particularly taken with jazz - he was more than inspired and opened up musical perspectives, which he absorbed like a sponge, especially from the Brazilian musical culture. In 2001 he had to go to the big country on the Amazon, where he had direct contact with Samba, Choro and Forró. Krassik stayed in Brazil and approached these musical languages until he was discovered by the scene in Rio and invited to concerts as a sideman by artists such as Yamandú Costa, Beth Carvalho and Marisa Monte. Over the next few years he toured and recorded with artists such as: Marco Pereira, Paulo Sérgio Santos, Henrique Cazes, Zé Carlos Bigorna, Chico Chagas, Carlos Malta, Hamilton de Holanda, Maria Teresa Madeira, Zé da Velha, Silvério Pontes.
