Overview

Nezha Conquers the Dragon King (哪吒闹海) is a classic animated feature from the legendary Shanghai Animation Film Studio, based on an episode from the mythological novel Fengshen Yanyi (Apotheosis of Heroes). The film tells the story of Nezha, a valiant young hero born from a miraculous lotus, who stands against tyranny and injustice.

At the age of seven, Nezha encounters the East Sea Dragon King’s oppression and bravely defends his people by defeating the Dragon King’s minions. However, his actions provoke the wrath of the dragon kings, who retaliate with a devastating flood. Sacrificing himself to protect his city, Nezha later returns to life through a divine intervention, armed with the Fire-Tipped Spear and Wind-Fire Wheels, to ultimately defeat the Dragon King and restore peace.
