The current publication covers the period of Móricz's editorial work between December 1939 and September 1942. The number of letters more than doubled: 812 letters were included in this selection. The publication documents Móricz's efforts to make the magazine national in many ways, in its pages we can trace his trip to Transylvania in 1941, and the letters of his adopted daughter, Erzsébet Móricz, published here for the first time, give us a glimpse into the everyday life of the editor-in-chief. The voluminous notes related to the publication (this fills the entire volume II) and the afterword together provide an almost monographic picture of Móricz's last years.

A mostani kiadvány Móricz szerkesztői munkásságának az 1939 decembere és 1942 szeptembere közötti időszakát fogja át. A levelek száma több, mint a kétszeresére nőtt: 812 levél került be a jelen válogatásba. A kiadvány sokoldalúan dokumentálja Móricz törekvését a folyóirat országossá tételére, lapjain nyomon követhetjük 1941-es erdélyi útját, nevelt leánya, Móricz Erzsébet először itt publikált levelei pedig bepillantást engednek a lapszerkesztő író mindennapjaiba is. A kiadványhoz kapcsolódó terjedelmes jegyzetanyag (a II. kötet egészét ez tölti ki) és az utószó együtt Móricz utolsó éveinek szinte monografikus igényű rajzát adják.
