Martial Arts of Shaolin (Chinese: 南北少林, lit. "Southern and Northern Shaolin") is a 1986 Hong Kong–Chinese martial arts film. This movie is also referred to as Shaolin Temple 3: Martial Arts of Shaolin and is the third installment in the highly successful Shaolin film series. It is particularly notable for being the only collaboration between legendary director Lau Kar-leung (刘家良) and actor Jet Li (李连杰).

The story follows Zhi Ming, a warrior monk from the Northern Shaolin Temple, who embarks on a secret mission to assassinate a tyrannical warlord during his birthday celebration. On the same mission, two other assassins from the Southern Shaolin Temple join forces with Zhi Ming. However, their mission fails, and the three are forced to flee together, pursued by the warlord’s soldiers. As they escape, they begin to uncover strange secrets about their task and the events leading up to it.

This film is unique in that it uses a Hong Kong production crew from Shaw Brothers Studio (邵氏电影公司) while still featuring many Mainland Chinese actors, including Jet Li, Yu Chenghui, Yu Hai, Hu Jianqiang, and Huang Qiuyan, who also starred in the previous two films in the series: Shaolin Temple (1982) and Kids From Shaolin (1984).
