Luṭfī was the great master of the ghazal (lyric love poem) and tuyugh (a Turkic quatrain, similar to the robāʾī), and he exerted a wide influence on poets of his time. In his sole narrative poem, Gul wa Nawruz (written in 1411; “Gul and Nawruz”),…

Lutfiy (1366-yil, Hirot – 1465-yil) yoki Mavlono Lutfiy — oʻzbek shoiri, orif va mutafakkir. Oʻz zamonining „malik ul-kalomi“.

Until recently, the place where Lutfii was born and died was indicated as Deqikanor area of Herat. After the discovery of the work "Funun ul-baloga" written by Sheikh Ahmad Tarazi dedicated to Mirza Ulugbek, based on the sentences "ma'dan ul-latoyif Lutfiyi Shoshiy" in it, the idea was put forward that Lutfii's native land was Tashkent.

Like Lutfi's life path, his creative fate is very instructive: he lived for 99 years. The main part of his life was spent in reading, learning and artistic work. There are pictures of the poet's life in Alisher Navoi's works such as "Majolisun-nafois", "Holoti Syed Hasan Ardasher", "Nasoyimul-muhabbat", "Makorimul-akhlaq" by Khondamir. According to Navoi's "Majolis unnafois" book, at the end of his life, Lutfiy wrote a poem with the phrase "sun", many poets of that time imitated him, but none of them could hit Lutfiy's "paw". According to Navoi, when Lutfiy was over 90 years old, Abdurrahman Jami used to recite a dirge "sukhan" to his horse, saying that the good people of the time are "musalmish for all good things" ("Nasayim ul-muhabbat").

HAZRAT ALISHER NAVOIYNING MAVLONO LUTFIY HAQLARIDAGI SO'ZLARIDAN:

Mavlono Lutfiy (alayhirrahma) o'z zamonining malik ul-kalomi erdi, forsiy va turkiyda naziri yoʻq erdi. Ammo turkiyda shuhrati ko'prak erdi va turk- cha devoni ham mashhurdur...» («Majolis un-na- fois).

Va Mavlononing «Zafarnoma» tarjimasida o'n ming baytdin ortuqroq masnaviysi bor, bayozg'a yozmag'on uchun, shuhrat tutmadi va lekin forsiy- da qasidago'y ustodlardin koʻpining mushkul she'r- lariga javob aytibdur va yaxshi aytibdur» («Majolis un-nafois).

«Mavlono yigitligida ulumi zohiriyni (shariat ilmlarini) takmil qilg'ondin so'ngra Mavlono Shiho- biddin Xiyoboniy (alayhirrahma) qoshida sufiya ta- riqida ham suluk qilg'ondur. Aziz va mutabarrak kishi erdi. Bu faqir (ya'ni, Navoiy) borasida ko'p fotihalar o'qubdur. Umid ulkim, chun darvish kishi erdi, ba'zi mustajob bo'lmish bo'lg'ay.
