English Summary:

Hell (French: L'enfer) is a French film, released in 2005 and directed by Danis Tanović. It is based on a script originally drafted by Krzysztof Kieślowski and Krzysztof Piesiewicz, which was meant to be the second film in a trilogy with the titles Heaven, Hell and Purgatory. The script was finished by Piesiewicz after Kieślowski died in 1996. The movie stars Emmanuelle Béart, Marie Gillain, and Carole Bouquet.

The film is set in Paris and is about three sisters: Celine, Anne and Sophie. It starts with a scene in which a woman and her young daughter (who we later find out is Celine) walk into an office and see two people: her father, and a young man who is naked.

After Sebastian has met Celine a few times much later in their adulthood, following a misunderstanding in which she strips for him as she believes him to be an admirer, he confides to her that he was the young man, and that her father's imprisonment for this crime was actually his fault. He said that he had fallen in love with her father and, finally being alone with him and not knowing what else to do, took off his clothes.

À Paris, dans les années 1980, un homme libéré de prison est rejeté par sa femme. À bout de nerfs, il la frappe sauvagement, puis se jette par la fenêtre sous les yeux de ses trois filles. Aujourd'hui, Sophie, Céline et Anne, les trois sœurs maintenant adultes, vivent chacune leur vie. Le lien familial est rompu. Sophie, l'aînée, est mariée à Pierre, un photographe avec qui elle a eu deux enfants. Leur couple vacille. Céline, célibataire, est la seule à s'occuper de la mère impotente placée dans une maison de retraite. Anne, étudiante en architecture, a une relation passionnelle avec Frédéric, l'un de ses professeurs. Un jeune homme va entrer en contact avec Céline. Sébastien, plein de charme, semble vouloir la séduire. La révélation qu'il va lui faire va rapprocher les trois sœurs, leur permettre d'accepter leur passé et peut-être d'oser vivre pleinement.

Párizs, '80-as évek, egy börtönből frissen szabadult férfit kidob a felesége. Elkeseredett haragjában megveri a nőt, majd kiugrik az ablakon három lánya szeme láttára. Ma, Sophie, Céline és Anne, a három nővér felnőttként éli saját életét. A családi kötelék megszakadt. Sophie, a legidősebb, Pierre-hez ment feleségül, egy fotóshoz, akitől két gyermeke is született. Kapcsolatuk ingatag. Céline, egyedül él, csak ő látogatja az idősek otthonában élő, tönkrement édesanyjukat. Anne, építésznek tanul, szenvedélyes kapcsolat fűzi Frédéric-hez, egyik tanárához. Céline megismerkedik egy fiatalemberrel, a jóképű és kedves Sébastien-nel, aki el akarja csábítani. A fiatalember egy olyan dologgal szembesíti, amely újra közel hozhatja a nővéreket, segíti feldolgozni a múltjukat és talán még teljes életet is élhetnek.
