Dr. habil. Klára Körmendi ( Budapest , March 22 , 1944 - ) is a Hungarian pianist and university professor. Between 1955 and 1962 he graduated from the Béla Bartók Secondary School of Music in Budapest with Kornél Zempléni ( 1922–2013). Between 1962 and 1967 he was a student at the College of Music , where he was taught by Péter Solymos . From 1965 to 1993 he was a soloist with the National Philharmonic . Between 1983 and 2003 , he was a permanent partner of clarinetist László Horváth , with whom he performed at many concerts in Hungary and abroad. Their joint album was released in 1989. Between 1992 and 2002 he took part in master classes in Kőszeg and Keszthely . Since 1993 he has been an assistant professor and associate professor at the Liszt Ferenc University of Music . Between 1996 and 2012 in Sárospatakwas a participant in the master class of the International Summer Academy. He has been a member of the board of the Hungarian Society of Music since 1997, and was its president from 2008 to 2016.
