Az énekeskönyv összeállítását dr. Révész Imre püspök irányításával egy szűkebb bizottság végezte, amelynek tagja volt többek között dr. Karácsony Sándor, Ádám Jenő, Csomasz Tóth Kálmán, Balla Péter, valamint esztétikai kérdésekben szakértőként közreműködött dr. Kállay Kálmán és Jékely (Áprily) Lajos.

The content of the Reformed hymnbook, which has been in use in the congregations of the Hungarian Reformed Church since 1948, remains unchanged today: the first half of the volume contains the 150 Geneva psalms - based on the original translation of Albert Szenczi Molnár from 1607, adapted to 20th-century rhythmic singing and textual emphasis; these are joined by 362 praises, the Hymn and the Sermon, as well as the fixed-text prayers used in the Reformed service (e.g. the Our Father and short petitions related to the Lord's Supper), and the text of the Apostles' Creed.

The songbook was compiled by dr. It was carried out by a smaller committee under the direction of Bishop Imre Révész, whose members included Dr. Sándor Karácsony, Jenő Ádám, Kálmán Csomasz Tóth, Péter Balla, and dr. Kálmán Kállay and Lajos Jékely (Áprily).
