Does it usually fall in Paraguay? is a novel of "longing". It is not quite possible to know where the first-person hero of the novel - perhaps Julius? But in every slowed-down movement, in every rare dialogue and in the inner monologue flowing throughout the entire text, the symptoms of "going away" collide. No chance of leaving. There is actually no mention of Paraguay in the novel. It simply means another continent, a "land of dreams" that has neither borders nor population. It is part of the fog that pervades the entire novel. Dream fog. Fantasy fog. It is not a climatic phenomenon, just as Paraguay is not a geographical fact here. Some impenetrable floating of existence. Despite (or together with?) the fact that Brasnyó's novel as a whole is woven and permeated by this mysterious fog, the locations of all of the author's prose, including the Paraguay novel, are known. The geography of his novel writing has long been known, but still unexplored. roads, farms, villages, streets, small towns can all be recognized and visited one by one. They can also be captured on some sort of detailed map. But at the same time, they are extremely difficult to define. Because the geographically precisely mapped locations are at the same time a microworld and an exceptionally spacious area.

Semmi esély a távozásra. Paraguayról voltaképpen szó sincs a regényben. Egyszerűen egy másik kontinenst jelent, egy „álomvidék"-et, melynek nincsenek se határai, se népessége. Az egész regényt átható ködnek a része. Álomköd. Fantáziaköd. Nem éghajlati jelenség, ahogyan itt Paraguay sem földrajzi tény. Valami áttörhetetlen lebegése a létezésnek. Annak ellenére (vagy azzal együtt?), hogy Brasnyó regényét egészében átszövi és átitatja ez a titokzatos köd, a szerző minden prózájának, a Paraguay-regénynek is, ismertek a helyszínei. Regényírásának régóta ismert, de mindmáig feltáratlan a geográfiája. A dombok, az utak, a tanyák, a falvak, az utcák, a kisvárosok mind sorra felismerhetők, bejárhatók. Valamilyen részletes térképen meg is örökíthetők. De ezzel együtt rendkívül nehezen határozhatók meg. Mert a földrajzilag pontosan feltérképezett helyszínek egyszerre, egy időben mikrovilág és kivételes tágasságú térség.
