It stars Elena Tsallagova as The Vixen, Jukka Rasilainen as The Forester, Michèle Lagrange in a dual role as his wife and The Owl, and Hannah Esther Minutillo as The Fox. The Orchestra of the Opera National of Paris, under the direction of Dennis Russell Davies, provides musical accompaniment. Alessandro di Stefano serves as chorus master.
