First signed to The Beatles' Apple label, gifted American troubadour James Taylor released his eponymous debut in 1969. Throughout the 70s, he continued to build his reputation as one of pop's most beloved and influential recording artists, delivering such multi-million sellers as "Mud Slide Slim", presented here on 180-gram HQ vinyl and mastered from the original analog tapes by Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman. Features all original packaging. Highlights include "You've Got A Friend", "Mud Slide Slim", and "You Can Close Your Eyes". Taylor has gone on to garner four Grammys as well as inductions into both the Rock And Roll and Songwriters Hall Of Fame, and in 1998 he was honored with the Billboard Century Award.
