Győző Somogyi (b. 1942) is a renowned historian, graphic artist, and experimental archaeologist who has dedicated decades to researching Hungarian military history and creating highly accurate illustrations. His work is deeply rooted in both scholarly research and hands-on experience as a hussar reenactor, ensuring authenticity in his depictions.

Somogyi has published more than a dozen full-color albums in Hungarian and German, gaining recognition for his ability to blend art and history seamlessly.
