English Summary:

Ho! (Italian: Criminal Face - Storia di un criminale) is a 1968 French-Italian crime film directed by Robert Enrico and starring Jean-Paul Belmondo. It is based on the 1964 novel Ho! by José Giovanni.

The race car driver François Holin, nicknamed Ho (Jean-Paul Belmondo) abandons his sport after his friend is killed because of him and becomes part of a gang of bank robbers. Other members of the gang – the Schwartz brothers, treat him with contempt but work with him because without a good getaway driver their plans are doomed to failure. During preparation for the next robbery the leader of the gang is killed, and Ho intends to take his place to carry out the robbery. As usual, the first part of the plan is carjacking which is entrusted to Ho. But the police manage to seize him and he is sent to prison. There he sits in a cell with a bum who has received a mere 1,5 months sentence and begins to impersonate him. After 1,5 months pass the guards can no longer distinguish one from the other and Ho manages to get out of jail instead of the tramp. Immediately he creates false documents for himself and returns to the old apartment of his gang.

François Holin, dit « Ho » (Jean-Paul Belmondo), est un ancien coureur automobile qui fait le chauffeur pour des malfrats, Paul et les frères Schwartz. Ceux-ci n'ont pas beaucoup de respect pour lui et le considèrent comme un minus. Il fréquente une jeune top-modèle, Bénédicte (Joanna Shimkus), à qui il fait croire qu'il parcourt le monde pour faire des courses automobiles. Paul, le cerveau de la bande, se tue accidentellement avec son arme alors qu'il planifie l'attaque d'un fourgon. Ho propose aux frères Schwartz de faire le coup quand même mais ceux-ci ne veulent rien entendre. François s'obstine et, en prévision du coup, vole une voiture mais fait arrêter. La police le soupçonne d'être le chauffeur du gang Schwartz mais n'a aucune preuve tangible contre lui. Il est toutefois mis en détention préventive pour vol de voiture. Grâce à un stratagème ingénieux, il parvient à s'évader de la prison de la Santé.

Egy szerencsétlen baleset is elég, hogy egy zseniális autóversenyző karrierje derékba törjön. Ez történik François Holinnel is, aki egy véletlen ütközéskor versenyzőtársa halálát okozta, és ezért megfosztották versenyzői engedélyétől. Ho ettől kezdve megállíthatatlanul csúszik lefelé a lejtőn. Kezdetben egy gengszterbanda szolgálatában áll, de elege lesz primitív főnökei szeszélyeiből és saját szakállára kezd bankot rabolni. Úgy gondolja, aki képes Franciaország legszigorúbban őrzött börtönéből meglógni, annak nem okoz gondot vérontás nélkül, pár perc alatt mesés összegeket rabolni. Csakhogy az élet keresztül húzza számításait, és ő egyre mélyebbre süllyed a bűn ingoványában.
