English Summary:

A documentary by Emőke Konecsny „When he stepped into the room I said to myself: that will be my husband." Half of the world belonged to their friends from Otto von Habsburg to Charlie Chaplin. The whole world was their home from New York to Beirut. This is a film about the extraordinary love of Ilona Döry and George Kovách. Hungary owes much to George Kovách, the Hungarian born US colonel. As the leader of the American Military Mission in Hungary he brought the Holy Right of King St. Stephen to Budapest on 20th August 1945.

Barátjuk volt a fél világ Habsburg Ottótól Charlie Chaplinig. Otthonuk volt az egész világ New Yorktól Bejrútig. Dőry Ilona (Gogo) és Kovách György nem mindennapi szerelméről szól a film. "Mikor bejött az ajtón, azt mondtam: ez lesz a férjem" - mondja Gogo. Kovách György magyar származású amerikai ezredesnek sokat köszönhet a II. világháború utáni Magyarország. Az amerikai katonai misszió magyar tagozatának vezetőjeként ő hozta haza a Szent Jobbot 1945. augusztus 20-án.
