Plot

The story revolves around Lieutenant Droste, who dreams of building a permanent air station in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean to serve as a refueling and repair hub for intercontinental flights. With the help of pilot Ellissen, Droste secures the support of the Lennartz-Werke company for his ambitious project.

Over two years, the air station grows into a bustling city on the ocean, featuring runways, hangars, hotels, and shopping centers. However, during a violent storm, communication with the platform (F.P.1) is cut off. The last sounds transmitted were of gunshots and screams.

Pilot Ellissen, struggling with personal heartbreak, is persuaded by Claire Lennartz to fly to the platform with her. Despite crash-landing, they survive and discover that the crew was incapacitated by a saboteur, Chefingenieur Damsky, who had released gas to knock them out. Before fleeing, Damsky opened the platform's valves, putting F.P.1 at risk of sinking.

As tensions rise, Claire tends to the injured Droste, while Ellissen, realizing he may have lost Claire forever, takes a plane to seek help. After spotting a ship, he parachutes into the ocean, is rescued, and calls for reinforcements. A fleet of ships and planes then rushes to save F.P.1.

Handlung
