English Summary:

Extralarge (original title: Detective Extralarge, aka Zwei Supertypen in Miami) is a television series starring Bud Spencer, Philip Michael Thomas, and Michael Winslow.

Jack Costello (Bud Spencer) is a retired cop and now private detective who lives in Miami, who handles a myriad of cases for unusual clients. At his side are old police buddy Sam Bosley (Lou Bedford) and cartoonist-turned-amateur sleuth Jean Philippe Dumas (Philip Michael Thomas), who is using Costello as an influence and has nicknamed the burly detective "Extralarge." In the second series, Costello faces other dangerous cases, again with Bosley and Archibald (Michael Winslow), the son of an old friend, who Costello amusingly nicknames "Dumas." 

In Miami, an attack on the Chinese scientist Professor Tien is committed. The scientist's niece, surgeon Lee Tien Pao, recognizes when identifying the corpse that the dead man is just a doppelganger of the scientist and not Professor Tien himself. Since it is obvious that the professor is still alive, but in mortal danger, she commissions Jack Costello to find and protect her uncle. But this turns out to be more difficult than expected, because besides the killers, the CIA is also behind Professor Tien. In addition, Costello come in the course of the investigation doubt what the real motivation of Lee to find her father.

Tien, a híres kutató egy nemzetközi konferenciára érkezik Miamiba. A tudós olyan információ birtokában van, amely kulcsfontosságú lehet a jövőre és az energetika fejlődésére nézve. Tien-t azonban elrabolják és egy hasonmás lép a helyébe, aki röviddel ezután meghal egy bombamerénylet során. A férfi unokahúga, Lee a holttest azonosítása során rádöbben az igazságra.
