About this Album:
The compositions of Ermanno Panta & Banda Zeitun transform Mediterranean soundscapes into an “islander muse” inspired jazz. The Sicilian singer and polyinstrumentalist sings with the soul of the immigrant in Spanish, Catalan, Sicilian, Arabic offering a symbolic commitment to diversity. That's the origin of “Isla Musa”, the first album of the band released on 6 th june 2019 (Narrator Records).
But eclecticism joins deep respect for the musical roots (Sicilian music, flamenco, jazz) and all this transforms zeitun's music into an authentic ritual. Trance, joy and modern taste coexist in the album and in a vibrant and warm live concert. The result is a "delicious amalgam of sonorities arrivals of traditional Sicilian music, jazz and flamenco "(Ultima Hora).
