Out of the broken basin leaps the titular “渔童” – the fisher boy endowed with extraordinary powers who masterfully foils their evil schemes.

Story 2: 喜庆的夏吾冬 (The Joyous Xia Wudong)

In this tale, the fisherman's son, 夏吾冬, emerges as a hero when he rescues a great carp, a little sculptured bird, and a mother fox. Later, in the den of robbers, the rescued creatures join forces with him to put an end to the brutal crimes of a ruthless princess, highlighting themes of courage, gratitude, and justice.

Story 3: 八仙与跳蚤 (The Eight Immortals and the Flea)

A brief yet humorous episode, this story depicts the legendary Eight Immortals who, after conquering a fierce dragon in their famed "Over the Sea" adventure, become unexpectedly challenged by the diminutive mischief of a tiny flea.
