HUNGARIAN TITLE: A Jelenések Könyve - a mai kor tükrében
A Jelenések könyvének részletes magyarázatát kapjuk itt, kulcsot kapunk a kezünkbe, amelynek segítségével sok minden megvilágosodik előttünk a Szentírás elhanyagolt és ezért sok tekintetben magyar olvasók előtt ismeretlen részei és fogalmai felől.
From the back of the book:
Lajos Csia was born on 18 February in 1887 in Kiralyhaza in county Ugocsa, in Hungary. Having graduated from the Reformed Theological Academy in Budapest, he became a minister.
He continued his studies in Budapest and Cologne by studying languages, ancient literature and history. Apart from learning modern languages, he also excelled in old Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic
He dictated his life to the research of the Bible and retranslated the Holy Scripture into Hungarian, using the globally recognized and used Greek text compiled by E. Nestle. His aim was to make the Hungarian text have the same impact on the Hungarian reader as the Greek had on the a Greek reader. It can really be appreciated by those who read the Bible in German, English or Greek, and are amazed to see how understandable it is. Unfortunately it had not always been so in Hungarian. So with several good translations we can see the truths of the Revelation from various angles and thus understand it more profoundly.
Lajos Csia spent all his life with interpreting the books of the Bible, and probably nobody had ever proclaimed the word of God in Hungarian the way he had. He specially thrived when interpreting the hardest Scriptures and questions. Apart from the translation of the Bible, one of his main works is the "The Book of Revelation in the Mirror of our Age" which now, by the grace of God, is also available in English. We would like to say special thanks to professor Dr. Laszlo Gerzsenyi for the translation and to the brethren whose donations and work supported the publication of this book.
