Summary:
PUBLIC PRAISE - A NEW KIND OF WORSHIP
Dear Friend:
We are excited to offer you "Crown Him," led by popular British worship leader Graham Kendrick. As you may know, Hosanna! Music has, from its inception, pioneered in the area of praise and worship by capturing fresh expressions of worship in the Church today. "Crown Him" follows in that same vein by producing an excellent resource for Public Praise events and new congregational songs.
Public Praise involves uniting Christians in joyful processions and open air celebrations of praise, prayer, and proclamation. With Graham as a forerunner, the concept is continually gaining popularity across Great Britain, Europe, and now, the United States. These songs have been compiled as musical "tools" for the streets, coupled with Scripture proclamations, prayers, and responsive shouts.
Thousands of Christians have discovered a new boldness in confessing their love for Christ as they have joyfully poured out their praise, proclaimed His lordship, and prayed for His Kingdom to come on earth. We pray that your heart will also be ignited with a zeal to publicly proclaim your love for Christ and praise Him in the public place.
The first nine songs on "Crown Him" are designed to help unite participants and spiritually prepare hearts for the Public Praise event. Songs from "Open the Gates" on are specially designed for the event itself. We hope this recording will be a worshipful listening experience for you, and an excellent resource for new songs and Public Praise events.
May the grace of God rest upon you as you "declare His glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people" (Psalm 96:3).
