Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of The Queen and the administrative headquarters of the monarchy, is a working building with the offices and back up that manage the day to day activities of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh and their immediate family. The Palace is not a museum nor is it a gallery, although it is furnished and decorated with priceless works of art that form a part of the Royal Collection.

Each year more than 50,000 people are entertained at Buckingham Palace and this unique programme shows the magnificent State Rooms, their works of art and how The Queen entertains her guests be they world leaders, diplomats, politicians, industrialists, businessmen, sports personalities, celebrities as well as people from all other walks of British life.
