"Blue Gate Crossing" (Chinese: 藍色大門) is a poignant Taiwanese film directed by Yee Chih-yen, released in 2002. The film follows the story of Yueh-chen, a high school girl with a crush on her classmate Shihao. Unable to confess her feelings directly, she enlists her best friend Kerou to act as a messenger. As the story unfolds, Shihao mistakenly believes that Kerou is the one interested in him, leading to a complex web of emotions and misunderstandings.
The film was screened at the Director's Fortnight section of the 2002 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for Best Asian Film at the 23rd Hong Kong Film Awards in 2004. It grossed over five million New Taiwan Dollars at the box office, a notable achievement for Taiwanese cinema in the 2000s.
