Polish Description

To jedyny polski przekład Biblii zrealizowany na podstawie najstarszych manuskryptów, które były w użyciu w czasach Jezusa i Apostołów. Większość polskich przekładów Starego Testamentu została zrealizowana w oparciu o teksty masoreckie, które są o tysiąc lat późniejsze niż manuskrypty, których użyto do przekładu Biblii pierwszego Kościoła.

Starochrześcijański znak znajdujący się na okładce i stronie tytułowej tej Biblii znaczy ŚWIATŁO-ŻYCIE. Symbolicznie odnosi się on do Jezusa Chrystusa, który tymi właśnie słowami określał sam siebie (por. J 8,12; J 12,46 oraz J 11,25; J 14,6). Znak ten był znany i używany już w IV w. przez chrześcijan na terenach Syrii.

W tym wydaniu księgi deuterokanoniczne wyróżnione zostały drukiem w kolorze niebieskim, a słowa Jezusa wydrukowano kolorem czerwonym.

Większość polskich przekładów Starego Testamentu została zrealizowana w oparciu o teksty masoreckie, które są o tysiąc lat późniejsze niż manuskrypty, których użyto do przekładu Biblii pierwszego Kościoła. Dodatkową cechą wyróżniającą to wydanie Biblii spośród innych jest to, że teksty deuterokanoniczne wyróżnione zostały drukiem w kolorze granatowym, a słowa Jezusa wydrukowano kolorem czerwonym.

The deuterocanonical books are printed in blue and the words of Jesus are printed in red.

This is the only Polish translation of the Bible based on the oldest manuscripts that were in use in the times of Jesus and the Apostles. Most Polish translations of the Old Testament were based on Masoretic texts, which are a thousand years later than the manuscripts that were used to translate the Bible in the early Church.

The ancient Christian sign on the cover and title page of this Bible means LIGHT-LIFE. Symbolically, it refers to Jesus Christ, who described himself with these words (cf. Jn 8:12; Jn 12:46 and Jn 11:25; Jn 14:6). This sign was known and used already in the 4th century by Christians in Syria.

In this edition, the deuterocanonical books were printed in blue, and the words of Jesus were printed in red.
