How do we know the Bible is true? Why did God create the universe? How will we spend eternity?
Neglecting and rejecting God?s Word has its consequences: abortion, AIDS, troubled relationships, crime, immorality, personal freedoms ? the Bible is vital in solving (and preventing) the very real problems facing people today. Will all men eventually be saved? How can I know God?s will? Is a Christian supposed to obey the government? Why did God create Satan? Is the end of the world near?
There are many questions today that demand answers in our daily lives; we can?t avoid them. After reading this book, you?ll clearly see answers to questions such as these, and others that affect our Christian walk.
Henry Morris, Ph.D. , (deceased) earned the title, The Father of Modern Creationism, through with his numerous writings about the creation/evolution debate. He was a respected scientist and wrote, textbook author and the founder of the Institute for Creation Research in California.
Morris does not avoid the difficult questions, but presents a biblical answer for the most complex problem. For example, Was Jonah really swallowed by a whale? What about Joshua's long day? Is evolution a scientific fact? The one hundred questions answered in this book cover a broad area, from proof for the divine authorship of the Bible to a thorough discussion of the Bible and science, and on to practical matters concerning everyday living.
This book will prove a handy reference book for Sunday-school and Bible-school teachers, pastors, scientists, and any Christian who has doubts or questions about his faith or a Bible teaching. It will be helpful to college and high-school students who have to face the atheistic humanism of our educational system. This book will do much to stabilize the faith of its readers and help them to "be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason for the hope that is in you with meekness and fear..."(1 Peter 3:15).
Henry M. Morris is president of the Institute for Creation Research (San Diego, Calif.). He is also the author of many well-known books on Christian evidences and the scientific accuracy of the Bible. Among these titles are The Genesis Record, The Twilight of Evolution, The Biblical Basis for Modern Science, and Evolution and the Modern Christian. Morris received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and for twenty-eight years served on the faculties of major universities.
