Shangri-La County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province is located on the southern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, in the hinterland of the Hengduan Mountains, and at the intersection of Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet provinces.
