Overview
"Bangkok Hilton" is a dramatic thriller that tells the story of Katrina Stanton (played by Nicole Kidman), an Australian woman traveling from London to Australia in search of her estranged father. On her journey, she meets photographer Arkie Ragan (Jerome Ehlers) in Thailand, who convinces her to carry his luggage through customs. Unbeknownst to her, the bags contain illegal drugs, and she is arrested and imprisoned in the notorious Thai prison known as the "Bangkok Hilton." As she struggles to survive in the harsh conditions, she meets Many Engels (Joy Smithers), a fellow inmate on death row. Meanwhile, her lawyer Richard Carlisle (Hugo Weaving) and former patriot Hal Stanton (Denholm Elliott) fight to free her from the dire circumstances.
