Flautists and recorder players have a predilection for playing the arrangements of J. S. Bach's cello suites for their instruments, due mainly to the monophonic manner of writing. Rezső Pertorini who, as a performer, is a specialist of Baroque and Classical music, chose an opposite approach: he transcribed for cello the only partita of the Baroque master written for flute without accompaniment. The transcription rendered in concerts with great success appears now also in print.

A furulyások és a fuvolások - döntően egyszólamú írásmódjuk miatt - előszeretettel játsszák Bach gordonkaszvitjeinek hangszerükre adaptált változatait. Pertorini Rezső, aki előadóművészként a barokk és a klasszikus zene specialistája, fordítva gondolkodott: átírta gordonkára a barokk mester kíséret nélküli fuvolára komponált egyetlen partitáját. A hangversenyeken nagy sikerrel játszott átirat jelent meg nyomtatásban.
