The Golden Team (Hungarian: Aranycsapat; also known as the Mighty Magyars, the Marvellous Magyars, the Magnificent Magyars, or the Magical Magyars) refers to the Hungary national football team of the 1950s. It is associated with several notable matches, including the "Match of the Century" against England in 1953, and the quarter-final ("Battle of Berne") against Brazil, semi-final (against Uruguay) and final of the 1954 FIFA World Cup. The team inflicted notable defeats on then-footballing world powers England, Uruguay and the Soviet Union, before the 1956 Hungarian Revolution caused the breakup of the side.

Between 1950 and 1956, the team recorded 42 victories, 7 draws and just one defeat, in the 1954 World Cup final against West Germany. Under the Elo rating system they achieved the highest rating recorded by a national side (2230 points, 30 June 1954), just ahead of 2nd place Germany (2223 points, 13 July 2014).

In 2016 the BBC listed the team as the best international football team ever in football history

Az Aranycsapat (Golden Team, Mighty Magyars, Marvellous Magyars, Magnificent Magyars, Magical Magyars) minden idők legjobb magyar labdarúgó-válogatottjának díszítő jelzője és közismert neve. Ez a csapat az 1950-es évtől 1956-ig játszott együtt, de maga a tágabb korszak 1941 és 1960 közé esik.

A csapatban számos kivételes képességű labdarúgó játszott, de közülük is kiemelkedett Puskás Ferenc, aki emblematikus alakká vált, és ma is az egyik legismertebb magyar a világon. A csapat mérkőzéseinek sorából kiemelkedik az 1953. november 25-én a londoni Wembley Stadionban az angol labdarúgó-válogatottal rendezett „Az évszázad mérkőzésének” titulált 6 : 3-ra nyert barátságos találkozó. Ám a legfontosabb mérkőzése az 1954-es labdarúgó-világbajnokság döntője volt, ahol az öt éve veretlen magyar csapat 3–2-es nyugatnémet győzelemmel zárult meccs volt. Az esélyesebb magyarok elleni német szempontból „szerencsés győzelmüket” a német futballtörténelem a „berni csoda” névvel illeti.
