About the Author:
Dr. Katalin Kiss is Associate Professor of musicianship and a conducting at the Kodaly Institute of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Kecskemét, Hungary. She graduated from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Budapest, where she also obtained a doctoral degree (DLA) in 2002. She has been lecturing since 1989 at the Kodaly Institute, where she served as Deputy Director General in 2002-4. She spent several years in the United States as a guest lecturer and conductor on the invitation of the Kodaly Center of America in Boston.
