Plot Summary

Deep in the dark woods, the seven dwarves—Brummboss, Sunny, Cloudy, Tschakko, Cookie, Bubi, and Speedy—have chosen a life free from the bothersome presence of women, having all faced difficulties in their interactions with them.

The brothers Sunny and Cloudy were expelled from their theater group by their mean teacher, Frau Dr. Billerböck, for failing to play their roles correctly. Speedy is hopelessly in love with Rapunzel, but his inability to reach her tower quickly led to his rejection in favor of a fairy tale prince. Bubi was thrown into the woods by his mother during a bank robbery escape from a hot air balloon and was picked up by Brummboss. Tschakko, the fighting dwarf, struggles to hit women, and Cookie's vegetarian meals aren't well-received even by his own mother.

Brummboss often refers to "that night" (accompanied by a lightning scene in the film) but never reveals what happened, although the mystery is eventually solved. Additionally, there is Ralfie, who wishes to join the dwarves' household but is unable to due to naming conventions (after all, there can only be seven dwarves).

Handlungszu sammenfassung

Tief im finsteren Unterwald leben die Zwerge Brummboss, Sunny, Cloudy, Tschakko, Cookie, Bubi und Speedy. Sie haben sich für ein Leben ohne lästige Wesen namens Frauen entschieden, da sie im Umgang mit ihnen alle auf die Nase gefallen sind.

Die Brüder Sunny und Cloudy wurden von ihrer gemeinen Lehrerin Frau Dr. Billerböck aus der Theatergruppe geworfen, weil Cloudy keine lustigen Schweinchen und Sunny keinen bösen Wolf spielen konnte. Speedy war unsterblich in Rapunzel verliebt, kam aber nicht schnell genug in den Turm und wurde zugunsten eines Märchenprinzen von ihr verstoßen. Bubi wurde von seiner Mutter bei der Flucht von einem Bankraub aus dem Heißluftballon in den Wald geworfen und dort von Brummboss aufgelesen. Tschakko, der Kampfzwerg, kann keine Frauen schlagen, und Cookie kommt mit seinem vegetarischen Essen nicht einmal bei seiner Mutter gut an.

Brummboss erzählt immer nur von „jener Nacht“ (im Film jeweils von einer Blitz-Szene begleitet), aber nie, was dahintersteckt (am Ende löst sich das Rätsel jedoch). Dann ist da noch Ralfie, der in die WG der Zwerge aufgenommen werden will, aber aus namensrechtlichen Gründen (es gibt schließlich nur sieben Zwerge) nicht mitmachen darf.
