The Mbunda Bible whose translation work in Zambia after many failed attempts in Angola was started in 1923 at Lukute in Western Province but was also abandoned due to various reasons. In 1968, the project was restarted under the consultancy of Dr. Hope and later Dr. E.R. wendland but actual work started in 1987 and completed in 2003!
