Equivalent to that used for the Thompson Bible, but without the N.T. variants. (indicated in the biblical text by means of various types of brackets or inserted in footnotes). This is a "special" edition. In the first pages of the text, the reader is provided with some information relating to the formation of the biblical canon, the places where the biblical events took place and the methods of transmission of the Bible, as well as some suggestions for reading. The biblical text is then dotted with footnotes designed for neophytes, that is, for those who are approaching the biblical text for the first time. Very often basic concepts are therefore explained such as "repentance", "Passover", "Pharisees", "hades" etc. Ideal for mass distribution and as a gift to friends and relatives.
